 Ain Shams Center of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is a consulting research center that seeks to disseminate the knowledge and apply the techniques of genetic engineering and biotechnology to develop and improve every aspect in different societies, especially at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in different universities and institutions. Usually, we lack the connection between research and society, this gap needs to be filled through workshops, seminars, conferences, symposia and raise awareness of their importance. ACGEB includes a leading elite of university professors, consultants, experts, researchers, and trainers specialized in developing, discussing, reviewing, and advising any research plans, and scientific projects. It provides advanced training courses with significant knowledge, resources, scientific and technical skills that can help the trainees to accomplish his/her full potential that is required to be creative and successful in the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology. The center has state-of-the-art equipment's in its laboratories to conduct all the required experiments and their interpretation.

Our Mission
 Offering consultation and research in the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology within a research system that relies on disparate and overlapping studies to achieve national goals and policies. Qualifying highly qualified, distinguished, and creative cadres of genetic engineering and modern biotechnology techniques. Conducting research capable of providing innovative solutions to the problems of agriculture, industry, and production sectors in Egypt and the regional region and upgrading the skills of these cadres through education, training, and continuous guidance.

2. It prepares and delivers training courses according to the requirements and needs of the university and society by imposing preparation, development, and raising the research efficiency of the workers In universities, institutes, research centers, ministries, companies, bodies, and those interested in this field.
3. Providing scientific and industrial consultations in the field of biotechnology. The center seeks to expand the provision of scientific advice Applied and specialized studies in the fields of specialization for individuals and interested companies and bodies, through cooperation protocols.
4. Assist in preparing and preparing research projects and submitting them to local and international funding bodies.
5. Providing full support to students and researchers within the center's laboratories in terms of guidance, devices, materials, tools, and chemicals required for the work Research and experiments.
6. Provide training on switching from production at the laboratory level to semi-industrial and industrial production.

Our Achievement
• Organizing training courses in tissue culture for students and researchers (bologna - stevia - and potatoes - bananas).
• Organizing training courses in date palm tissue cultivation in the project of developing date palm cultivation.
• Organizing training courses in the field of Bioinformatic in cooperation with professors from local and international universities.
• Organizing workshops on scientific research ethics, safety, and biosecurity in microbiology and genetics.
• Participating in organizing a symposium on date palm tissue cultivation in the project of developing agricultural systems for date palms in Ismailia.
• Organizing a seminar to introduce the role of the Genetic Engineering Center for Community Service, in the Genetics Department, Faculty of Agriculture - Ain Shams University.
• Organizing the Soul Biotechnology competition among biotechnology programs in Egyptian universities, and it was held at the University of Agriculture Ain Shams.
• The center hosts students of graduation projects as well as summer training students, whether from college students or students from other colleges, institutes, and universities.
