Genetics Department
The Department of Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University was established in 1969, while the Genetics Division was established in 1971 and the first class graduated in 1972. Till now, we graduated hundreds of people. Many of them are serving in different universities and research centers. Our mission is dynamic in order to keep the program current with advances being made in the field of modern genetics. Today, with recent advances in the fields of genomics, molecular biology, and genetics, as well as growing interests in the environment and biodiversity, the discipline is growing with increasing opportunities in the job market for well-trained scientists. The Department of Genetics is strategically designed to train students to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, and researcher to contribute to society as responsible and ethical experts in their profession
